Planning for the 2013 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood is already underway. While you won’t see many news updates to the website until January, there is plenty of work going on behind the scenes.
Congratulations again to Ken Block and Alessandro Gelsomino for their sixth win at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, driving their 2012 Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V. The Monster Ford Rally Team won with a combined time of 1 hour 31 minutes and 38 seconds, almost 30 seconds ahead of the second place team of David Higgins and Craig Drew in their 2012 Subaru WRX STI. Full results are listed on Rally America’s site along with lots of photos and videos.
Competitor bulletin 1 has been posted to the supplementary regulations page. This bulletin addresses the location of the novice meeting and overflow service in Viburnum
The designated spectating locations have now been posted to the spectating page. Printed spectator guides will be available at the Rally America information booth at registration, parc expose, and service. A detailed map will also be printed in the Salem Newspaper before the rally or you can download the map ahead of time.
The Rally in the 100 Acre Wood would like to announce the 2012 Honey Jar Challenge: presented by Lou Fusz Subaru.
The Honey Jar Challenge will run simultaneously with the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood on February 24th and 25th, 2012. The goal of the Honey Jar Challenge is to raise the awareness of grassroots regional rally teams in a meaningful shootout style event. Any regional All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) team is eligible to enter the two-day challenge and the top-five overall finishers will split $2,500 in prize money, with the coveted Honey Jar trophy presented to the winner.
